The aim is to offer support young carers and give them a rest from caring, if only for an evening. Here are a few things we do for Young Carers, to help them out, so they have time away from home to 'chill' and be themselves!

1 to 1's with Staff
These take place when a Young Carer needs a friend to talk to, guidance or a shoulder to cry on. It also gives your support worker a chance to see how a you are progressing while being with the young carers project.

Chill Nights
All the Young Carers get together and 'chill' and have fun either just relaxing or joining in games.n This is once a month

Days Out
Long distance walks, such as walking to Pendle Hill or climbing rocky hills! horse riding, cinema, bowling, restaurants, eating out aka mcdonalds, aquariums, football stadiums, watching football matches or even meeting the players! football museums, a day out in Blackpool! or Manchester.

Training Courses
First aid, food hygiene course, self defense, risk assessment, YouthBank training, army training days these are all essential because it gives the young carers training for the future.

Sponsership days
Such as a sponsered tie up, sponsered stand up or silence.
Other organisations thats offer help (Brook, Home Start, Connecxions, Lifeline, Women's Centre)

Miles of Smiles
miles of smiles is someone who gives our young carers a wish, any wish they want! when a young carer is feeling low and needs a little more support, miles of smiles grants them a wish! e.g ride in a limo, get a makeover, go horse riding!! every young carer will eventually get a wish.
